Hobbie's Quarters
> Enter
You enter Hobbie's quarters. You are surrounded by darkness and can't see
a thing, a familiar music is playing and you think "This Hobbie is way
too much into Star Wars" while shaking your head slightly. The door you
came from is at the north of the room and is the only noticeable exit.
> Turn lights on
You start a quest for a switch and turn around the room for a few minutes
before giving up, you consider yourself lucky not to have tripped on anything.
> Locate source of music
The music appears to be coming out of the walls, or could it be the voices
in your head again?
> Ponder the meaning of the universe
42!
> huh?
Sorry, I must have experienced a malfunction...
You think about that for a little while and realize you're doing more harm
to yourself than it's worth. You remember having spotted and discarded a sign
at the door and decide to look at it. Wondering just what exactly that smell
is, you head north and miss the door by a few inches. You pause and rub your
head and attempt, successfully this time, to go through the door. The light
in the corridor blinds you for a few seconds as you squint and look for the
sign. It reads: "Hobbie's quarters are here. I just got the place so
don't expect to find anything there, but I'll be working on it. Until I get
around to doing that, you can probably find me at my neighbor's, the muffin
stand."
Below that, you realize, is written something in very small characters.
> Attempt to read the writing
After a few minutes of staring, you manage to make it out. It
reads: "Oh, incidentally, you can turn on the lights by banging on the
walls."
You shake your head and sigh, then decide to try it. You are a little worried
at what you may find out - these are Hobbie's quarters, after all - but your
curiosity takes the better of you. Besides, coming here only got you a headache
so far and you hope this visit won't be a complete waste of time.
You enter the door again and hit the wall. The lights slowly come to life
as your hand joins your head in hurting, and you make note to hit with less
strength next time while you look around the room.
You notice a bed and a seemingly little-used desk on the corners of the room,
and the walls are covered with Star Wars related pictures. On the desk you
notice a small music playing device, probably the source of that noise. There
are four doors, one on each wall, labeled "Exit", "Bathroom",
"Chatsaves" and "Office".
> Head to the exit
You head for the exit and wonder how Hobbie manages to damage your head even
when he isn't there. You walk away from Room #05020 and memorize the location,
you make note to come back later in the adventure.
You can now go to the Muffin Stand, pay a visit to Grant's girlfriend, go to Hobbie's "workplace", wander about the station, go see the world or close the window and go to the wild.
