Hello all, and welcome Liz. Liz will be guest blogging with us until she gets bored with it or gets her own blog. We love Liz! =)

What is Bethania you may be asking yourself? I like to think of it as a safe haven for the old, the drug riddled and of course, one of my best friends, Zoe (aka Nose) and her soon to be husband and soon to be officer of the law, Jason. It’s a little retirement town half way between the Gold Coast where I live and the states capital, Brisvegas.
I like taking the occasional road trip to Bethania with assorted friends to just shoot the breeze, wander the town, and of course, do lunch. My most regular side-kick, and another best friend, Michelle, also enjoys the Bethania life style. It’s all about letting your grass grow long and deep frying your sea food until it should be legally classified as a dessert.

This here is the aforementioned member of the best friend club, Zoe. She is a brilliant young student currently studying biomedicine at the nearby Griffith campus. She enjoys ridiculously high grades, sitting around in here retirement village and the company of her newest toy, Charlie. Who is a very very dirty cat. But we shan’t go there.
Anyway, if you haven’t been to Bethania, you haven’t lived. I encourage you all to seek it out and visit the local grocery to really appreciate what Australian retirement communities are all about.

Now now, I’m no raging Christian trying to convert you heathens to the path to heaven, but Jesus rocks. It’s the people that work for him that really suck ass. It’s the whole institutionalised religion thing that really gets up my nose. Did you know early Popes acted as generals in war? These dudes who were supposed to be hell into the Bible actually LEAD. WAR. And that whole selling indulgences thing was a bit of a low point for the church. No wonder there are so many protestant churches.
Anyway, I myself have been baptised as a Roman Catholic, and spent twelve years of my life being influenced by the catholic education system. I don’t regret that or anything, I’m glad! It’s given me the opportunity to see Religion from the inside out. I was the school captain in my senior year, and I was involved in organising masses, etc. etc.. so I know a bit about the whole thing. And I’ve learnd that there is SO MUCH CRAP just totally polluting the one message that actually makes sense…
That’s what Jesus was all about. The Bible is just a pile of stories that people like to read to give structure and meaning to your life.
So yeah, Jesus rocks. Wherever you are Jesus, tell Elvis I said hi. =)
Yesterday was Adam’s 21st birthday! Who is Adam? Adam is one of my best friends, go to his extensive website… adamryan.net, it’s great. *insert sarcastic tone here* So anyway, because his party is this Saturday, we had birthday drinks at my boyfriend’s house (who hence forth will be known as Casey because that’s his name) because Casey is in Melbourne on business.
So the Birthday drinks turned into vodka shots on the coffee table, then by the time I got my shoes on and we got out the door to go clubbing, the club we were going to was closed. =( So we went to McDonalds and got fat. Then we went back to Casey’s, I put buckets around the house in case anyone spewed, and passed out on my bed fully clothed. It was great!
I gave Adam half his birthday present too. It was this photo collage canvas that I put a few striped of masking tape across, then painted black. Then after a few coats of black, I ripped the tape off and it left white stripes which I would later write my birthday message to him in (Nature has no love for solitude and always leans on some support). And with the photos, I edited them in paint shop to graft a few pictures together and I popped some cool effects on there too like having the Sydney Harbour bridge in the background, butterfly wings, vodka bottles… y’know, the usual. Wow, this blogging stuff really degrades my command of the english language. ANyway, so I made these images, printed them at work on photo paper, and smacked them on the canvas! Apparently he liked it, so mission successful! =)

This is one of the pictures on the collage
Stay tuned for more blogging on Adam’s fantastic party this Saturday which I am looking forward to. WooHoo!
Because he helped me get this thing working. Yay for Dave! =)
Wow, my very own blog. *blinks* Hi!
