I’ve been dabbling in a combination of graphical and short prose production.. technically ‘cyber poetry’ I suppose, but I’d rather not call it that. If I called it that there would be expectations and a whole suitcase of signifiers and implications hanging off your ears.. so I’ll just call it dabble..

Lookit..

I plan to make this one in a series of seven called Seven Things. This one, lapse is about that feeling you get when there’s something on the fringe of your mind that is enticing, exciting and yet just out of reach. I get that sometimes. Maybe I just have a bad memory.

Yay! I’m at uni on my laptop wirelessly wandering about, surfing the internet, printing things, reading and sending email… I feel like such a geek, and yet so liberated!

So what’s been happening. Had stocktake at work this week from 3-midnight Monday and Tuesday.. that was possibly the most tedious thing I’ve ever done. Counting fishing hooks, greeting cards and seeds. :| Uni has gone back too, which is good. I was getting a bit bored. This semester I’m taking Cyborgs & Shopping Malls, Fame & Celebrity, Sociology & Future Societies and Contemporary Theory. Sounds excting, doesn’t it!? Well I’m looking forward to it.

Yay culture! *produces*

After some delay, photos are now up from Trudy’s birthday and my birthday. I’ll get those ones up from Adam’s various going away things soon.

Speaking of which, Adam is gone forever. Well, weeks at least. Months at most. But still, if this Canada thing happens, I may never see him again (or at least for quite a few months). Dramatic you may say? Well yes, perhaps.

Oh, and this Canada thing. I might be going to Canada for semester one next year! January 2006, it’ll be. Tom will be my tour guide and I might even take my sugar daddy (Casey) to pay the rent. But nothing is in concrete yet. I haven’t really told many people, still finding out about it. Not to fear!

Hello all you out there. Since my last post I’ve been on a bit of a holiday! For my birthday Casey took me to Sydney and the blue mountains weekend before last. It was a total surprise! I thought we were going to Stanthorpe, but no… we got on an aeroplane! Damn you all for keeping it a secret. I think Michelle and I were the only ones not to know… So yeah, it was great! We had this cool Jag with a GPS that told us where to go (as per the one we had in Melboune we called it Sally) and we stayed in this cute little cabin in the mountains. We must’ve drank 5 or 6 bottles of wine that weekend… =d It was great! Got to see Candice while we were down there and met up with one of Casey’s exes Justin who was really nice.

What else has been happening… Adam is going away!! Forever!! I’ll never see him again!! Now I’ll be down to just a handful of best friends. Please apply if you’re interested in the position. Ahaha… no, Adam will be back. He’s just going to see his Paris man and do some Law related trainee things, then he’s jetsetting to the US for a while. So we had a going away dinner thing for him Friday night which was cool. Stan, Jet, Koichi, JD, Nicole, Matty and Michelle the sly, Adam, Casey and me… then Sarah J and her lesbian Amelia/Hayley gat crashed with their free daquaris! Then the cool people went to Casey’s for drinks and the rest (Stan, et al) went home to sleep or something.. And now they’re all camping at some far away place.

Isn’t it funny how when you think you know someone something happens to make you realise you don’t actually know them. Thus, what we thought we knew about everyone (and, possibly, everything) could, quite possibly, be wrong. I mean, dudes used to think the world was flat. Dudes used to think lotsa crazy shit that we know is crazy now, but they thought it was right on back then! Why am I talking like a surfer? Anyway, the point is, nothing is certain. So stop thinking whatever you’re thinking right now and just be. Theeeere you go.

Now, let’s start a new religion. I’ll be your messiah and you can be my follower. =) I vote we have sacrifices and cabana boys. Wait, this isn’t a democracy, it’s a religion. And I’m godGod, so what I say goes. Now, where were we. Ah yes, so we’ve got the things we like down pat, what should we hate and send to hell? People who drink wheat grass. Them crazy cooks! Straaaight to hell. Whassat? You drank it before? Well, seeing as how you’re my only follower, I suppose we’ll make an exception. You you have to, I dunno, hop on one leg for like… 10 minutes. That will appease me. Cheerio! Start hopping.

Look at me, I’m 20 now. Last night was the party, Tuesday was the actual day. On Tuesday my family, Casey, Adam and I went to the Casino for dinner and got a bit tipsy, then Casey, Adam and I went out and got a little more tipsy. Then Casey went home then when I was ready to come home he wouldn’t answer the door so I tried to beat down the door but that didn’t work. So anyway, I ended up finding Adam at this pizza shop and we both took a cab home. If Adam had his way though we would’ve walked in the rain.

Then last night the party was great. Michelle did the cooking (thanks sly, see how I’m mentioning you) and most of the setting up which was great. Even though I didn’t get any food, I was too busy drinking y’see. I can’t remember the whole night, but it was great the parts I do remember. Photos up soon! Thanks to everyone who came and for all the cool stuff I got. Zoe & Jason, Trudy, Sarah J & Hayley (or was it Amelia?), Michelle & Matty, Casey, Adam, Stan & Koichi, Jet, Lucan (mmhmn.), Liz & Bock, LisaD, LisaG, Toni, Dom, ‘trina-O, Richo, Kel, Amy… I’m sure there are people I’m forgetting. Cheers! I’ll never drink again.
