Mezoti's 16th Birthday
Once upon a time, in Ten Forward, Guinan was organising a birthday party for her favourite patron, Mezoti, in hopes that Mezoti would show up on this special occasion. It was her 16th birthday - Guinan doesn't do this for just any patron or any birthday! Once all the streamers and balloons were in place, and the cake baked (not replicated!) Guinan sent Riker out to fetch the guest of honour.
What a surprise for Riker, though! In the hallway, he met a very strange man. After his subspace teleport so he could attend this special party, Anakin Skywalker was all burnt up and bleeding, and had lost his breath! Oh, he will never subspace teleport again! Riker dragged the poor man into sickbay, where whoever the doctor is fitted him into an old hallowe'en costume complete with breathing tubes and pressurized linings. Now even Anakin could attend the party!
Riker told Anakin the party started at 7, and continued to the crew's quarters to find Mezoti. After asking some Ensign (their names don't matter) he found Mezoti in her quarters sleeping! Oh no! Did she forget about the party? Riker shook her awake, and as she mumbled and started to move about, he purposefully strode to her closet and started pulling out pretty dresses and matching shoes.
"You can't wear your uniform, missy! It's your birthday!"
"....murgh... grazzzz errrh..."
"How about this one, I think pink really suits you... you don't mind sequins I hope?"
"..grrrr.... six forty seven... it's so eeeearly"
"These shoes, do you mind the polka dots? They compliment your dress well... up girl, up! The party starts in... twelve minutes!!"
Riker proceeded to push Mezoti out of bed and show her to her dress. "Put it on quickly! I'll be in the corridor" he said. Mezoti stumbled out of the room fully dressed but slightly disheveled just moments later. Riker straightened her hair, put a clip in it, and dragged her all the way to Ten Forward.
Back in Ten Forward, the crew was assembling to welcome the young lady. The last to arrive was Mr. Skywalker, and boy was he mad! Apparently, the costume he had been stuffed into had a helmet that made him look like a total dork. So, he wrestled Guinan to the floor and they swapped headgear. Now in a deep green turban, he was satisfied. Mezoti arrived as the excitement from this scuffle died down, and she was greeted warmly. Slightly embarrassed by being the object of the whole crew, she slid to her normal table, cut the cake as she was required to do, and ate it in peace.
Then, the presents! Naturally, Guinan gave her a hat, Riker gave her a holo-pony, and Mr. Skywalker gave her a lightsabre. So delighted with her new sabre, she chased the holo-pony out of Ten Forward slashing at its unbreakable tail.
