The Oregon Hitch-hiker

Down the Oregon coast sped Lobot, in his new speeder which ran on fresh mountain spring water. He zoomed around cliffs at a breakneck speed.

Coming around one of the last corners on the mountainside, he jammed on the brakes immediately, and the speeder came to a crushing halt, just inches from what was blocking the road. Curses fell short of his lips when he saw what it was he nearly ran over. In purple, with a big hat, stood Guinan. She had crashed her space ship against the ship, and managed to make it this far. Lobot offered her a ride, and she obliged to accept. Off they sped, into the distance, toward the Pacific.

Down the mountainside they sped, and Guinan reached for her hat to make sure it stayed on her head. Lobot's head-computer stayed in place, and he had no hair to speak of that could be messed up, therefore, his complaints were only with the music his hitch-hiker had chosen.

They soon reached a road along the beach, and slowed down a bit. The speeder was making large sand clouds, causing Lobot's head-computer to malfunction. He blinked and twitched, the car swerved and dodged. Guinan grabbed hold of the handles and her seat belt, but decided it was better that she solve his problem. She removed her big purple hat, and covered Lobot's head and head-computer with it, preventing any more sand and dust from entering. The last few particles spat themselves out, and Lobot drove on in prime condition.

Guinan pulled another hat from within her dress, and all was normal again.
