Holographic Error

Vic entered Ten Forward to make the evening's announcements. He called "Everyone: Hear ye, hear ye! OTF's new Fantasy chatroom Alder Hill is now open! And remember to send in your avatar names!" over the patrons heads, and then he was gone. "That was weird," whispered one of them to his table. "Yeah," said another, "that message has nothing at all to do with us. "I'll go see what's wrong with Vic" stated the third, and off she crept to the control room (for the hologram).

Vic was found sitting in his control room, playing with his switches and replicating dwarf ale, glass by glass. Rubicon watched in awe as each mug shattered on the floor. She lept for the off switch, but it was covered in bubblegum! Vic saw her fidgeting with it, and told her that Lobot had stuck his gum there so that Vic couldn't be turned off. She ignored the hologram and softened up the gum the best way she knew how, in hopes of saving the hologram from himself! Finally the gum came off, all of it, and she saw that Lobot had covered up more than the switch. He had covered up a hole in the panel! She stuck her hand in to see how deep it went, and something grabbed it! She screamed as she was pulled into the circuitry by none other than the boogeyman!

Her screams were heard by her table of friends, who ran to the control room, only to find Vic pushing the rest of her body through the hole. They fired a few blaster shots into the panel and managed to get rid of Vic. They pulled Rubicon out by her legs, only to find it was not the boogeyman at all inside the panel! It was just Lobot playing a trick, so they turned him off too. Little did they know all the other lights in the ship would go off, leaving them in cold dark space! That's when they heard manical laughter...

Only to find Tex chewing all the gum Rubicon had coughed up!
He giggled and said "tastes like sand!"
