My Poetry

No one wants the sincere,
No one wants the outgoing
No one wants the ‘cheerful’
No one wants the offbeat.
No one wants the sissy duckling.
No, not really.

You can tell it,
Everyone likes me whilst I’m there in your mind,
But as soon as I walk away, nothing.
No memory,
No phone calls.
No invitations to go out,
I hear nothing,
I feel no love.

If you tell me a I’m a liar again,
Prove me I’m a liar
Don’t tell me just because I need to hear it,
Tell me and prove me, that’s what I need.

Now, I walk,
I walk into the darkness.
Now I walk into obscurity.
I collect with me my papers and my pens.
And I take with me your necklace and CD,
Even I’ll take the turtle you gave me,
Just so I can be reminded that you were there for me once.

Goodbye my friends,
The end is near.
Don’t say you weren’t warned.
