My Poetry

The ocean’s waves crash upon my soul
Reminding me of the pain of time gone by.
Yes, Roxanne, you’ve done your dance upon my heart.
You’ve lied once more.
You came promising love, compassion, trust.
You showed me lust, impatience, abuse.
Damn you, I trusted you once more.
Why do I keep letting you come in?
Why do you insist on simply dancing over my heart,
Whilst my body yearns out for you,
Dies to spill it’s juice just for you….

Then, it’s over.
Down from the high,
You jump up and scramble for your clothes.
I think to myself “I’ve been used once again.”

Once more, I’ll be patient.
Once more, I’ll shave away another flake from my life.
Just as more flakes of snow cover the ground.
I run out side, skyclad, letting the snow wash over my body,
Purifying my soul, clensing it clean of…it.

Love and trust…
So rare these days.
I don’t think I trust very many people in my life.
Not since I found the door, walked through, and closed it again.
Now you come in and do this, what am I supposed to think?
