Something I’d like to say to various people but can’t

I know I only use this blog to moan but christ people piss me off sometimes.  If it takes something 2 weeks to arrive in our office and it doesn’t arrive, putting it away for another 3 weeks won’t make it magically appear.
 
Why are people so useless?  Sending friggin forms that you’re not supposed to send anymore.  not sending forms they definitely needed to send.  Have 20 years more experience than me and asking me damn stupid questions that you should already have the answer o.  It’s not an excuse “not working in the sections”.  The stuff you were doing was the SAME THING!  Oh yes – when writing up a phonecalll about not being able to contact a customer it’s helpful to indicate why you were phoning them in the first place.  especially if the case is not your own and you’ll not be dealing with it again.  I’m not psychic.  Reading is also apparently a lost art.  Helps you fill in work spreadsheets if you actually read what option you are clicking.
 
I’m a bit bored out of my tree here.   No work to do and not likely to get some.  I was seriously considering taking a half-day but figured why the heck should I.  It’s not like I’m going to be overwhelmed with work tomorrow either.  So long lunch and a half 3er me thinks.
 
Ooh after 10 years of having a computer we’ve finally got a computer chair.  I have a picture, I may show you.  Lucky lucky people
 
In case you are wondering why this more incoherent and ranty than normal it’s because we can’t access the net during working hours.  I’m having to wait till lunchtime and in the meantime I’m typing it up in word pad.  With the text white although I’ve decided to change it to grey to put off any over shoulder lookers,
 
Also I think it’s near that special time of the month when I get more ranty.

I was surfing the internet last night and for no reason (yeah well there was a reason but it was quite late at night and it’s not as pervy as it sounds) came across the infamous naked Daniel Radcliffe pictures for his role in Equus.

Actually I’m surprised that I never looked these up before and rumours were definitely correct about him not having to worry about the size of his wa…...todger.

Fair play to the fella though.  It takes some guts to stand up in front of complete strangers in all your glory.  Especially when you know that they’re going to make superficial comments about the smallest things (or in this case not so small eh? wink, wink, nudge, nudge)

However i thought I’d post this picture because really people should admire works of art.  Although he does look to be clenching his buttocks.

The first time I posted this it made every post before it go in italics and i had no idea why.  So I’m going to try reposting. 

I suppose I’d better write it though I don’t really want to.  i enjoyed it, read it far too fast though. I also liked the epilogue but I would have liked to have read more about the other characters.  Completely shocked that she killed off Tonks and Lupin although I should have seen it coming reading the book.  and poor George.  So lets see how I did with my predictions.  Although I think I’ve put earlier ones somewhere….

Well got Voldie, Bellatrix and Snape -although I thought Snape would go out in a blaze of glory.  Completely wrong about Tonks and Lupin though

Will Harry return to Hogwarts?

We don’t see it but I’m actually going to assume yes.  I’m assuming he’s an auror and for that he’d need his NEWTS.  (Also assuming we’re not counting the final battle as “back at Hogwarts”)

How will the various relationships unfold/begin?

Apparently there is a leaked version online.  I know some people have read it and say it’s real. I don’t know.  I much prefer to wait for the book.  It’s going to be a such a total anti climax (by that I just mean that the series will be over and then what….no more ) that I’d rather just savour the actual book instead of rushing to find out the answers.  Unfortunately this means that you can’t really go anywhere Potter related as some horrible little fuckwits are just posting supposed spoilers all over the place.  I don’t know why they do this but I guess some people are just plain malicious. I’ve already come across something which would indicate one of my predictions is correct (well a couple to be honest) but on the off chance that anyone else reads this I’ll not say what they were.

Now the good staff at mugglenet have a little staff predictions page where they give predictions to various questions.  I thought it might be fun to do it here.

Who will die?

Well I think that Voldie is a given.  This is a good v evil book.  Evil must be triumphed over. If Lucius Malfoy gets out of Azakaban he’ll die.  Bellatrix LeStrange will die (she’s just too nasty not to and well played by Helena Bonhem Carter in OotP I may add).  I think Severus Snape has to die  – probably saving Harry’s life.  I don’t think there is any other way for him to redeem himself.  I don’t think any of the trio will die nor Tonks or Lupin- I’m going for a happy ever after.  Hagrid or possibly McGonagall.  Of course if McGonagall dies then who will be headmistress of Hogwarts.  She’s the prime person to take over.

Will Harry return to Hogwarts?

Toughie!  I’d like to think he’d have chance to sit his NEWTS so he can have the chance to become an auror.  Although apparently JKR has said that one of them (the trio) will return as a teacher and I noticed in the OotP movie (and possibly the book) they comment that Harry is a good teacher (although you’d think Hermione would be more likely to be a teacher).

How will the various relationships unfold/begin?

Well…....Harry and Ginny will get back together.  Ron and Hermione will get together.  Tonks and Lupin will get together.  Bill and Fleur will stay together.  Other than that I have no clue to be honest!

To what does “Deathly Hallows” refer?

To me it sounds a bit like a place (eg these hallowed halls) which apparently means holy (according to dictionary.com) but I think it was more…..like Oxford…ie very old and very respectable.  So an old place of danger perhaps?

Is Snape good/bad/neither?

Neither perhaps?  He’s not a very nice person BUT I do think he’s on the side of good. I’d probably be quite disappointed to find out he was just bad.  So far he’s been the most 3 dimensional character.  Plus when I was reading HBP and the bit where he escapes after killing Dumbledore – okay so apparently Voldie wants HP for himself but he doesn’t really hurt him or retaliate – just blocks.  I think he was in love with Lily and wants to redeem himself.

General comments on the series coming to a close. 

I’m a bit depressed to be honest.  I remember when HP first started becoming really popular (before the first movie was released).  I refused to read it because it was a childrens book.  Then I saw the movie and really wanted to read the books (worked the same way with Lord of the Rings).  The only consolation is that I was able to read the first 4 books in quick succession and then had to wait TWO YEARS! For Order of the Phoenix.

Oh well – the good thing about books is that you can re read them whenever you like

Wow – totally loved it.  It didn’t seem as a geared to children as the earlier ones.  I also think you probably need to have read the book to be able to follow it properly.  Of course lots of stuff left out.

 I’ve now gone into hyper mode for the next book!!  The only problem is that I’m supposed to be baby sitting!

 So yes – go and see it!

Decided to have a little tweak at my theme – probably will revert back to the original one though.

 Had a very bizarre dream pre wake up this morning well dreams really.  One involved escaping on a boat filled with caramel with Gary Oldman and the other involved missing the OotP because I overslept and my brother forgot – except it was christmas

 there was a lot more than that but I think it would be impossible to explain

In other news…..

So – I’m so completely over excited about Harry Potter.  I think it’s disturbing my sleep.  Well….it could just be reading the books.  I’m going to start the Goblet of Fire tonight.  Perhaps I shouldn’t be reading right before I go to sleep.  and I just wish people would stop talking about it because it makes it worse!

I should really go live in a cave.

So I saw that there was an update on wordpress I just downloaded it, unzipped it, installed it thinking hey I have my stuff backed up.

Yeah before the infamous crash several months ago and the new upgrade didn’t work with whatever mysql I had (whatever the fuck mysql is).

Fortunately I managed to downgrade it but now it looks all weirdy.  Not the blog (well no more so than usual) the admin part of it.  Ugh.

I’m getting a fucking cold

which means I didn’t sleep at all last night

my left nostril when I blow it comes out a bit bloody (which it has been for a while) and my right nostril is running like a tap

all very horrible

So Plan A decided not to reply again so I opted for Plan B (with a Plan C in case Plan B didn’t work out).

What this is means is that I’ve got tickets booked for OotP. Hurrah muchly!

Yes, yes, still shit at the old updates…..and now I’m doing this from work (well started at work and finished at home – I was supposed to be off my lunch and the AA kept hovering).

Speaking of work – constantly talking woman is now off for the month! Hurrah!

So…broke the filling on my front tooth, about the time my half way through a root canal tooth decided that hot stuff really was agonising to it. fortunately got it fixed and didn’t get charged – hurrah! Still not all that keen on hot stuff though. Also the bugger is going private wahhhhhh bloody dentists

You’ll be thrilled to know that the BBC finally showed Kill Bill 2 (nearly 2 months later) on BBC2 bizarrely. Not that I wildly love Kill Bill it’s just nice to see the conclusion

Steve is pissing me off again with the whole not replying business. Seriously – would it kill you to reply with a “no sorry can’t” would it? would it really?! Of course if I bug “him” about it I get the “I’m so exhausted treatment”. So point ranting about it I guess.

Very Very sad is over for a while. There’s going to be an xmas special but it has Kylie Minogue on it and I’m not overly excited about that. It kind of ruins the brief illusion of it being real if they stick a whopping big star in there. Also – Kylie….well I’m a bit apathetic about her. However I shall reserve judgement. Also we’re losing Martha for half a season (bah) . Whilst I’ve been defending her on a who forum and I do like her, I don’t think I’d really be that bothered by having a new companion. One of the main reasons I was so keen on Martha was because I really disliked Rose, and the main reason I disliked Rose was because I disliked Bille Piper, which made it hard for me to overlook all the irritating character flaws which normally wouldn’t bother me.

Decided I was going to re read the books (well decided ages ago but wanted to wait till nearer the time) but can I find the philosophers stone or order of the phoenix? Can I heck. So went and bought them new. Course if I could be a bit more determined I know I could definitely find OotP, maybe…..perhaps.

So I guess that’s it for now

and remember – throwing inflammable things that are likely to explode onto a bonfire, isn’t big, isn’t clever and really isn’t funny.

OMFG what a horrible morning

First I can’t be arsed to get out of bed so I don’t get to have a shower and end up running late.

The cat is being all weird and of course won’t go out.(because it’s pissing down)

Since I’m running late I’m going to get the 7.40 bus which for some reason I nearly always miss or have to run to – I have to run to – at this point my jeans decide to start fucking falling down and I drop my bag. Fortunately the busman stops for me. I have no doubt though that I have the few passengers a generous flash of my very generous bum.

I then found that I forgotten my little free plastic cup that I can use to get my coffee of a morning (actually I’d left it at work but you know one thing on top of another).

So I get off the bus and run into the shop, then go into the coffee shop (which has no sandwiches so I’m going to have to go out later). On my way out I find out that my stupid umbrella is broken (you can’t stand under my umbrella ahah-ah)

I’ll have to see what the weather is doing later because I was supposed to be buying my dad his fathers day present (some jean shorts).

I make into work and one of the more annoying colleagues is doing her tuneless humming thing which makes me want to smack her!

The Belfast Telegraph headline that they post outside shops etc declared “More rain on the way!”

No shit Sherlock! More rain in Northern Ireland?! Who would of thought it! 3 days without rain is a “dry spell”

Of course in the paper it’s “More heavy rain on the way”

Which makes much more sense as a headline.

whats even more irritating is when someone else is explaining how to do something that should already been know, talking over the person commenting about how silly you are and how you should know this. JUST SHUT UP AND LISTEN!

Man I suck my resolution to update daily has fallen by the wayside.

So….firstly….went back to the Doctors re the lip thing (black mark like I’ve been chewing my pen). She’s referring me to the plastic surgeons – it doesn’t really bother me but I can’t get rid of it. Well anyways – lets see if I can get an appointment. If nothing else they can get a tick for something easy and quick.

Secondly – I’d like to offer my anti summer rant

1. It’s too damn hot! I’m a big lass – me and heat do not go well together and I dont find sweating like a pig pleasant. Also I loathe my legs, I can’t bear to look at them let alone let anyone else look at them so they remain covered up – not nice in hot weather
2. It’s too damn hot to sleep this means that I have to keep my windows open at night which leads to
3. A general increase in the bug population who like to congregate in my room and
4. lack of sleep since the birdies are quite noisy and so are the cars
5. I have hayfever
6. I don’t tan and I don’t want to tan – leathery skin and skin cancer do not sound like my idea of a good time. Plus I’m allergic to aftersun cream.

There’s more but I can just can’t remember it right now. Come back winter!

Whilst in what in the absence of intelligence that is the Religion and Spirituality section of yahoo answers (I know I shouldn’t tease the less fortunate). I came upon this gem of a link Fundies say the Darnedest Things!

It proves my theory that people are stupid.

It’s a long story but I;m having ethicall dilema about whether to tell them they’re being take along for a ride. OTOH they’ll have fun making sock puppets.

My arm’s sore nasty nurse! i didn’t look and I still felt sick and faint – such a wimp.

Feeling a wee bit better about earlier events now. As I said – don’t mind being thrown over for a fella. Still a “can’t Im already booked” wouldn’t have killed anyone. Have to see if I tag along with the brother but I don’t think he has any credit on his phone. Bah!
