You can see the floor and everything! (hahahahahahaha yeah it pisses me off when the family make similar comments. I’m untidy but I don’t leave cups or plates or anything thats like to attract small rodents or grow mould.)

Why do people keep talking to me in the morning?

It’s most irritating

Went to see this movie last night. It is very very good but you really need to have read the book (although not recently otherwise you’d just nitpick) first.

It is quite dark, although there are plenty of funny moments thrown in. If you’re a Harry Potter fan then you must go and see this….although you might want to wait till the kids stop going – bloody creatures!

The slug that is Maurice is a member of the DUP (democratic unionist party) the political wing of the Free P’s (free presbyterians) the most joyless bunch of god botherers that ever did exist.

Quite frankly if believing in god means I have to LOWER myself to have such vile, insulting thoughts I’m quite glad to have realised there isn’t one. I have often found that those who consider themselves more “moral” than the rest of us, are not nice people.

Some of the problems I have with this:-

1. Apparently his god has no problem what so ever in destroying and ending the lives of the most vulnerable just to disrupt a gay pride parade even though those he killed had nothing to do with said parade? – oh yes let me sign up to worship that monster.

2. His god has decided that the actions of two consenting adults who are hurting no one is so much more reprehensible than those of say…soliders…in dictatorship countries who slaughter and mutilate innocent people and rape women and children. Please, please, please sign up to worship the monster.

3. His god is so friggin incompetent he couldn’t even manage to get the right day, waited 35 years to punish them for it, left the district where it was going to be held as one of the least devastated and managed to devastate parts Alabama and Mississippi. Surely as a god he could be a bit more precise and clear in his message, or perhaps aim for somewhere THAT ISN’T PRONE TO HURRICANES? Seriously…..omnipotent….I really don’t think so

I would never vote for the DUP, even with a gun to my head anyway and this boil on the arse of humanity has certainly reaffirmed my sheer distaste. I hope that anyone who voted for him does not do so again.

Okay I have finished ranting now, I was just so disgusted when I heard about it.

I seem to have lost my special powers…...

I used to feel really ill if I read on the bus, this seemed to clear up, but the last few times I’ve tried I’ve felt really ill again . It’s a shame as it was a really good way to kill 40 minutes. I’ll have to try during the morning journey as I might simply be too warm.

I brought this up because I’m reading The Novice the second in the Black Magician Trilogy by Trudi Canavan, which is even better than The Magician’s Guild . I’m hooked!

The car sales guy valued my current car at £3800 which was more than the final payment so I was able to put some money towards the deposit on the new one Which im getting Jan 1!

I get the weirdest spam to this blog.

Mostly it’s total gibberish with links to online poker but it’s still bizarre. I mean the one today had something united ireland portugese and was apparently for online drugs. I kept getting one that was title gay marriage with links for poker.

Then there was “LOL good” – that was it. Now it might of been a real comment….cept the URL link was to a dead page and it was in response to my one liner about sinuses….yeah….cause that’s an appropriate response

anyhow, my sinus thing has developed into a cold…....urgh

Well it wasn’t me sadly…..

I spotted another problem with the theme but managed to figure it out myself (yay me! )

My phone now sends MMSs still won’t send emails scratches head but I think I might take into a carphonewarehouse shop and ask for help! However Im getting a bluetooth adaptar aka a dongle (I have no idea why!) from ebay. It will allow me to transfer stuff from the PC to the Phone (and vice versa) including pictures and MP3s!

While I’m here and being all random like, I’d just like to recommend The Magician’s Guild part of the Black Magician Trilogy by Trudi Canavan. Had the books for ages, got them because I really liked the covers and now I’ve finally gotten round to reading em* and I’m really enjoying it.

*At work I was reading “wimmin’s” magazines during my break – ie true life stories, however Ive been trying to tighten the belt financially and since I’ve stopped reading on the bus, I decided to bring a book instead. My collection had been building up. Most of them are trek books and I wasn’t too keen on people seeing me reading them. Yes on some level I ashamed of my trekkieness :}. So I started with my lent books – The Keys to the Kingdom series (well Mister Monday, Grim Tuesday and Drowned Wednesday) by Garth Nix, admittedly a kids series but very very good. The Supernaturalists by Eoin Colfer (writer of the Artemis Fowl series, I still have the Opal Deception to read!). And now finally I’ve got round the Black Magician Trilogy. I figure that once I finish my non trek books, I’ll get up the nerve to read em in work. Either that or start the Lord of the Rings again.

For some bizarre reason my terminally straight hair has developed a kink on the right side. It’s never had a kink before, but now it goes in then out and is fuzzy. It’s odd, I don’t know if it’s the way the hairdresser cut my hair or what but I can’t get it to go straight again.

Got my new phone and it is pretty and very very girly. For example it can tell you when the best time to get pregnant is. Now I would of thought that anyone dedicated enough to check that kind of thing, would be taking a bit more scientific approach to it. Anyhow, here is an actual picture of it.

However I can’t seem to send media messages or emails on it. I can’t figure out why not on that one either. Not having a great time technical wise this week!

Ohh I have moved in work, well moved like 2 months ago and I just mean to another part of the room. I’m not sure if like it as much. A couple of them just phone in for days off, even though we’re short handed. The new girl doesn’t actually seem to do anywork, just talks, and when she does ask you about something doesn’t actually listen to your reply and puts the stuff back on the pile. Then there’s the oldest…...I swear to god I never realised that someone who had been working there for so many years could be so entirely incompetent…it’s a joke, a total joke. Another person who will ask you about something and you’ll give them an explicit answer and they ignore you anyway. Not to mention that if she has a topic of conversation she bangs on and on and on and on and on about it….eg bird flu (ARGH! WE’RE ALL GOING TO DIE!), her giving up her smoking and what the smoking was doing to her and the weather. She’ll tell you the same thing over and over and then repeat it as other member of the section come in…..makes you want to bang your head off the table.

Now there’s 2 off sick for fuck knows how long, we don’t have an AA who basically requests files, traces files when post comes in (which believe it or not is quite useful cause you can waste a good hour trying to match stuff up), the “woman” is training. and the other who is only part time is off for another week. So there’s 2 of us doing 6 desks….and we’re getting into the busy season.

Oh and our lovely employers are trying to stiff us again with years pay award. Grrrrrrr! Seriously I think they really resent the fact that they have to pay us at all. I especially appreciate when they try and indicate that we’re really well paid (hahahahahahahahahaha), by quoting the pay of someone higher up the food chain than the majority of civil service are. I also don’t see why I should be paid less than someone in England for doing the same bloody job. Athough at this point I’d just like my pay rise please! Hypocrites, can’t wait for the next survey so they can ignore the fact that 97% of their work force is unhappy with their rates of pay.

My little car is not going so well. Had a problem which got sorted out, but now my dad has cracked the wing mirror and the rubber is coming off the back windscreen wiper. I wished I’d traded it in when they phoned. I told them to phone back in Jan and now Im wondering if I can phone them. Poor baby, served me well if not a lot and now I’m anxious to get rid .

Oh…I caught the fnale of Six Feet Under the other night, I was extremely impressed with the ending and also with the song Breathe Me by Sia. I highly recommend that you check it out post haste http://umusic.ca/sia/

Ah well instead of the really purple I have to opt for subtly purple. I will be working on it at some point to change the link colour n stuff. christ everytime this crap changes I have to learn how to do it allllllll over again. It is not like riding a bike I can tell you now. I used to be able to do a semi decent basic basic basic webpage (and by decent I mean…..incredibly amateur) but for the life of me I can’t remember the tags and all that anymore.
