Pointless, odd, ramblings

Just another day

Ugh – dropped off a bit there – got very caught up in M & M 6 although to be honest I’m getting bored of it.

I’m gonna beat the fella behind me at work. He is constantly asking “did you do anything nice (last night/at the weekend” and I mean exactly that – never anything different like – “did you do anything interesting?” or “good weekend?” – Polite but ultimately disinterested. I’m also getting pissed off at how frigging patronising the other members of his section are to him. To be fair the fella is a little slow but even so…....SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP!

I added a “to read” section to my links – basically the books I have to read. I also have a bunch of star trek & wars books to read which I didn’t add. I’d also like to tackle LOTR again. However since I’m only just reading them at work I expect this to take some time!

I’m quite happy!

Going to see James Blunt in June and going to Blackpool for a day in July! :)

March 5th, 2006

Greetings friend, the day is yours!

I have nearly finished Morrowind! Wohoo! Admittedly I’ve killed several trees to do so. Actually I’ve finished the main quest, I’m doing all the little side quests now :)
This is me – all funked up and ready to hit people with my bloody great hammer!

Today I will be mostly hitting you with a hammer

Did I break a mirror?

Sad news….the baby has been hurt! :(

Ouchie!
He killed it!

My dad was driving at the time and basically a lorry pulled in front of him. My dad is fine! I haven’t even had the damn thing a month!

Don’t even fell like discussing it! I’m all worried about this insurance thing works and will I have to pay for repairs and the like. The other driver should be liable and it was all his fault.

Oh – and the sinuses started acting up.

Other than that stuff is toodling along. Although slightly annoyed as my car insurance payments are at an all time. Seriously…how long do you have be driving before you’re paying a slightly sensible amount? It’s crazy!

Apparently the friend is all depressed like as well. Which I don’t really know what to do about. I can’t really force her to go places if she doesn’t want to, although I shall try and persuade her tomorrow.

February 7th, 2006

Hi-Ho

I worked my little behind off today.

Not sure why I bother. My pay is shit and the thanks is lacking.

Lucky for them that despite my inherent laziness I have a strong work ethic!

February 5th, 2006

All right! I’ll admit it! I’m weak!

Okay the brother seems to have moved out and in with the girlfriend (yes there is much dancing – at least mentally), was going to thwap the mother when she tried to suggest I give him money for the computer (fuck off woman! I’m broke!).

I sort of accidentally bought myself one of these on ebay.

ipod nano

I don’t even want to use it, I just want to look at it…..so pretty…...gawd I’m such a sheep :( . And I can’t actually afford it :|

Also – if you like Half Life 2 check out this Concerned – The half-life and death of Gordon Frohman. Frohman not Freeman, it’s basically a parody of the game! I love it! So much so I shall be adding it to my links.

Morrowind – now there’s a bitch of game, and that’s with the cheats.

So Sad, So Lonely - Matchbox Twenty

I found out
On a late night drive
In my winter coat
With my blood-shot eyes
My faith ain’t been
No friend to me
And the way i sin
Is hanging off of me

And i’m sorry
You can’t take me anywhere
Pretty soon we’re almost there
Baby, one more night
It’s been a long, long drive
And i’m way, way tired
I don’t need no
Back-up plan

(chorus)
I don’t want nobody
Nobody don’t want me
I’m so sad so lonely
But i’m always landing on my feet

One more time
With a sad, sad smile
And your white bread friends
In the circus life
All the one-way rides
The sweet beginners
Passing on the left-hand side
With a sideways smile

And i’m always
One step from stalling
Bad trips can make great stories
Dance all night
With your ass on fire
And your hands up high
And feel me one more time

[chorus]

I learn to love myself
And i don’t need no one else
And when a love moves on
Cuz it gets cold
Then another moves in
And it can fill the hole

I’m one more
Hopeful lying on the bedroom floor
No sense trying
When the whole thing drops
You lose your nerve
I hope you get what you deserve

[chorus]

101 uses for obsolete bibles

I’ve been having lots of fun on Fun Trivia. You can play for yourself or join a team or start a team – and I do likes my trivia :)

I’m still waiting for my new car :| . I phoned on Wednesday last week as I was due to get it on the Thursday. The fella who sold me it has apparently left and the man covering his sales said they were running a couple of days behind, I should have it early this week and he’ll phone me on Monday. Well it’s Wednesday. Phoned and asked to speak to him. “Oh he’s not here at the moment”, got them to take my name and number. Still waiting to be phoned back. That pisses me off. Cars aren’t cheap, even if you are paying in installments. Plus this little light has come up on the old car that I’m trading in…....

I should stop spending money. I have a ridiculously low amount to last me 2 more weeks :(

You just can’t please some folks

I have had absolutely no spam to my blog for a few weeks now…it’s unnerving.
I’m worried I’ve broken something when I should be JUAD in glee!

anyhow – here is a picture of my house…..

it's the end house of a terrace - courtesy of google earth!

I love this thing!

Day 11

Man I’m knackered. Did overtime at the weekend – I had to “clean” at one point…..CLEAN! HAH!, all right it was only for a couple of hours but I had plenty of work to be getting on with!
So 11 days of getting up early. Thinking is getting hard….harder than normal :(

December 2nd, 2005

Tis the season

Helped with a bit of xmas shopping today, haven’t done any of my own yet (yet? it’s only the 2nd FFS!).

I wonder if they do xmasy blog themes! :D

Well there’s one….but it’s of strange dimensions

For your viewing pleasure

I was such a good girl today :)

I cleaned my room!

You can see the floor and everything! (hahahahahahaha yeah it pisses me off when the family make similar comments. I’m untidy but I don’t leave cups or plates or anything thats like to attract small rodents or grow mould.)

So…movies I am wanting to see…

Doom (yes okay it's probably the crappiest movie ever - I don't care!Chronicles of Narnia (Christ promoting aside)King Kong (shades of beastiality aside)Underworld Evolution (I loved the first one)Aeon Flux (well it looks stylish and I'm a visual whore)

November 24th, 2005

Jingle Bells…

Ooh we’ve got a little bit o’ snow this way :)

Icing Sugar!

Why do people keep talking to me in the morning?

It’s most irritating :|

Harry Potter & the Goblet of Fire

Went to see this movie last night. It is very very good but you really need to have read the book (although not recently otherwise you’d just nitpick) first.

It is quite dark, although there are plenty of funny moments thrown in. If you’re a Harry Potter fan then you must go and see this….although you might want to wait till the kids stop going – bloody creatures!

Scene from the new film!

Why I’m an atheist part 2

Cause I really don’t want to be like thishorrible excuse for a human :O.

“Maurice Mills said that the natural disaster – which killed 1,300 people, caused $130bn worth of damage and left tens of thousands homeless – was an act of God against those who practise homosexuality. “

The slug that is Maurice is a member of the DUP (democratic unionist party) the political wing of the Free P’s (free presbyterians) the most joyless bunch of god botherers that ever did exist.

Quite frankly if believing in god means I have to LOWER myself to have such vile, insulting thoughts I’m quite glad to have realised there isn’t one. I have often found that those who consider themselves more “moral” than the rest of us, are not nice people.

Some of the problems I have with this:-

1. Apparently his god has no problem what so ever in destroying and ending the lives of the most vulnerable just to disrupt a gay pride parade even though those he killed had nothing to do with said parade? – oh yes let me sign up to worship that monster.

2. His god has decided that the actions of two consenting adults who are hurting no one is so much more reprehensible than those of say…soliders…in dictatorship countries who slaughter and mutilate innocent people and rape women and children. Please, please, please sign up to worship the monster.

3. His god is so friggin incompetent he couldn’t even manage to get the right day, waited 35 years to punish them for it, left the district where it was going to be held as one of the least devastated and managed to devastate parts Alabama and Mississippi. Surely as a god he could be a bit more precise and clear in his message, or perhaps aim for somewhere THAT ISN’T PRONE TO HURRICANES? Seriously…..omnipotent….I really don’t think so

I would never vote for the DUP, even with a gun to my head anyway and this boil on the arse of humanity has certainly reaffirmed my sheer distaste. I hope that anyone who voted for him does not do so again.

Okay I have finished ranting now, I was just so disgusted when I heard about it.

Kryptonite

I seem to have lost my special powers…...

I used to feel really ill if I read on the bus, this seemed to clear up, but the last few times I’ve tried I’ve felt really ill again :( . It’s a shame as it was a really good way to kill 40 minutes. I’ll have to try during the morning journey as I might simply be too warm.

I brought this up because I’m reading The Novice the second in the Black Magician Trilogy by Trudi Canavan, which is even better than The Magician’s Guild . I’m hooked!
